Brian Mc Swiney is a native of West Cork and can be found working in his workshop on design solutions that are inspired from natures geometries. Brian holds a degree in engineering from University Limerick and has worked as an Engineer and Designer in various industries for over 10 years.
In 2013 Brian set up the Milltown Innovation Centre where he works on inventing and designing solutions for renewable energies based on natural forms. Brian’s latest venture is “Waves and Sines” that introduces people to geometries through interactive kinetic sculptural pieces.
Brian is also founder of Tech. Turbines, a company that is creating new advances in renewable hydro energy, using solutions found in nature.
Brian will be delivering a talk at TEDxClonakilty in the Clonakilty Hotel, Ireland on 26th October.
In his talk, Brian will introduce us to the methods he uses in visualizing sound. He presents the argument that these geometries have similarities to those in the natural world.
